I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix 2 C/ b# ~* S& U" g0 e! q6 z4 P& e+ G' g) }5 @& ^# ^' H4 I
